April 16th Newbold College, Binfield TASK CANCELLED
What with Gill doing her marathon woman thing, holidays, and other distractions, it looks like the invasive laurel will have to be left to invade in peace. Watch this space, and meanwhile, if you feel cheated out of a task, you could always try a weekend in Dorset. Grid Ref: 847 702
April 30th Hemwood Dell, Windsor
Hemwood Dell is a 2.5 acre area of deciduous woodland. Today we shall be carrying out some further path construction. This will follow on from the work done in 1999. Meet in the layby on the south side of Hemwood Road. Grid Ref: 937 756
May 7th Millennium Project
On the 6th, 7th and 8th of May people around Maidenhead will be taking photographs of their activities for the Millennium Photography Project. We thought WMCV should be represented so there’ll be a short task (probably) at Bisham Woods rescuing trees from very tight, indeed throttling, tube tree guards.
Bring a Stanley knife or similar and some scissors. If you can make it, phone Gill on 01628 781 685. Park at the top of Winter Hill.
NB this task is subject to confirmation. Grid Ref: 869 861
May 13-14th Lulworth Cove, Dorset

We shall be carrying out some heathland restoration and improvement work.

Meet at Victory Cross. Grid Ref: 955 850

The site and car park are shown on the map sent with the programmes. Grid Ref: 820 620
Friday June 30th Summer Picnic at Bishop’s Acre
