29th October Bray Pit
Raking the meadow.

Bray Pit used to be managed by BBOWT. Although this is no longer officially the case BBOWT have still cut the meadow and we will rake off the mowings. This is to reduce the nutrients in the soil and encourage the masses of wild flowers which grow in the summer.

Bray Pit is sandwiched between Bray Sailing Lake and the M4.

Drive down Monkey Island Lane, which from Maidenhead is a left turn off the A308 Windsor Road. Fork left towards the Bray Lake Watersports. The gates will be unlocked so you will be able to park at the far end of the sailing lake; alternatively there is a public car park just before the Watersports building from where you can walk to Bray Pit.

The postcode for Bray Lake Watersports is SL6 2EB, but beware of using this with a satnav as some direct you through Bray Village and this route is not accessible for cars.
